HI280 Medium Span shelving (Sometimes know as Longspan shelving) is often used for creating multiple pick locations and is suitable for larger or heavier products which are preferably stored on chipboard shelves. For this purpose we developed the HI280 medium span shelving option.
Many parts and accessories from the standard HI280 shelving range are also suitable for HI280 medium span. This makes these 2 shelving systems very compatible and they can easily be combined with each other.
The HI280 medium span shelving is assembled just like the standard HI280 shelving and has the same features and accessories, therefore they are just as suitable as standard HI280shelving for both static shelving or HI280 mobile shelving.
HI280 medium span can also be used as the basis for applyingcarton flow systems or in a similar way to std HI280 for multi-tier applications.
The inlay shelves are standard 18 mm chipboard, but custom sheet metal or steel shelves are also available.

The Hi280 shelving system is manufactured from pre-galvanized steel on a fully automated production line resulting in a product with high and consistent quality. The design is based on the principle of the minimum number of components possible. The lack of need for reinforcing cross bracing has resulted in a design that provides the max storage for its depth.

The frames of HI280 long span (made out of 1 piece) are available in heights from 1 to 8 metres.
Shelf depths are; 300/400/500/600/800/1000 mm.
Shelf widths are; 1 / 1.6 / 2.1 / 2.3 / 2.5 / 3.0m
The 18mm thick chipboard shelves are available to suit all the frame depths and shelf support lengths.
Dexion’s HI280 medium span was designed and tested in accordance with the recommendations of the “Fédération Européenne de la Manutention” (FEM) Shelving Design Code 10.2.06 with bay loads up to 4,500 kg. and 400 kg. per shelf a level.
